Jared Gooden

He calls Gooden the underdog pick on durability and staying power, predicting Njokuani starts hot and fades, but rates this himself among the weaker picks on the card and says he might just watch rather than bet it.

Solid striker built around heavy output and a long, pumping jab, with good leg kicks and fairly solid head movement despite keeping his hands low; durable enough to absorb that. Very tough to put on the mat, and when he does land there he scrambles back upright quickly, though he prefers to simply stand and box rather than use his own decent takedowns.

He states Gooden lands the bigger shots and the bigger moments either way the fight goes, calls the underdog price silly, and closes with 'I'm taking Gooden' -- no hedge on the win anywhere in the chapter.

Solid striker with heavy volume, a reliable jab, leg kick and real knockout power, backed by excellent durability and head movement. A decent, judo-rooted grappler who prefers to keep the fight standing and use cage pressure rather than seek takedowns.

Analyst states outright this is "the least confident pick" he has made, going so far as to say he is "really not confident" in it -- an explicit hedge on the win itself, not on method or round, so coinflip rather than lean.

Jared Gooden is read as a durable, high-volume boxer with a long jab and a leg kick who mixes in enough wrestling to not be one-dimensional, but whose low-hands habit costs him on defense. The analyst credits him with decent takedown defense and some offensive wrestling of his own. He notes Gooden prefers to keep this fight standing against Turman rather than test the jiu-jitsu.
